In 2005 I made a 5 track EP as my final university project together with Sonia Jesus (who sings most of the tracks and shot/edited the video). We based the EP around the theme of 'Time', and co-wrote all the songs (except track 1 which I did alone). I then recorded and mixed the tracks, and played the piano in tracks 1, 2 and 4, as well as sang the final track. This is track 3. Here is the explanation I gave at the time: Though time is an unstoppable progression, moments within this can be captured. An example is a photo, or a memory. Despite these moments having passed, they are often remembered, even dwelt on. This song was written for one of these moments - things in the past that through memory, can still exist. It is the closest thing we have to time travel.
